This is a traditional candidate ad paid for by the Judge Dan Hawkins campaign for Ohio Supreme Court committee. Contributions to candidates are available on the Ohio Secretary of State’s website. From January 2023 to April 19, 2024 (the post primary filing), Judge Hawkins’ campaign received $340,384.62 in monetary and in kind contributions.
Hawkins’ campaign received significant support from business associations and their employees. Republican candidates often receive support from the business community. Since Election 2000, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce and its affiliates have been actively engaged in Ohio Supreme Court races. The Ohio Chamber of Commerce PAC gave the campaign $7,000. Its President and CEO, former Ohio Congressman Steve Stivers contributed ($1,000) The Stivers for Congress campaign donated an additional $2,500. The Ohio Business Roundtable contributed $7,500.
